UNDP works closely with public institutions at national and county levels in Kenya and is committed to strengthening integration of SDGs in the County Integrated Development Plans (CIDPs) to address inequalities and equitable access to resources. Ashoka has pioneered the field of social entrepreneurship, identifying and supporting the world’s leading social entrepreneurs since 1980. Social entrepreneurs are individuals with innovative solutions to society’s most pressing social, cultural, and environmental challenges. They are ambitious and persistent — tackling major issues and offering new ideas for systems-level change.

GrowthAfrica grows high-impact, high-growth businesses that proactively contribute to Africa’s social and economic progress in various sectors by strengthening their competitiveness through: cohort-based business acceleration programmes, strategic advice, and facilitated access to financing. Since 2002, GrowthAfrica has worked with over 1,800 local and international businesses, helped them raise over USD 42 million and create 24,000 jobs in East Africa.
